Dog in Nature

IMPORTANT INFO

All levels of athleticism (dogs and humans alike!) are welcome to take part in this event. We encourage all participants to complete the course at a pace they feel comfortable with. By participating in this event you are at risk of physical injury. Choosing to engage in this event is done so at your own risk. If the level of activity feels too rigorous for yourself or your dog, we urge you to take a break.
Specific race heat times will be emailed out the day prior to the event. Heats will be staggered between 2:30 PM - 5:00 PM.
Racers are responsible for timing themselves. A smart watch, smart phone or just a stopwatch is all you need! Remember - this is for fun so we are trusting your honesty.
Water stations will be provided but we encourage racers to bring their own water bottles for themselves and dishes for their dogs.
Ensure you’re racing with a dog you feel confident you can control and you are comfortable with.
Wear safe and appropriate gear for yourself (running shoes, athletic wear, etc) and ensure your canine’s gear is appropriate for the course.   We encourage a harness to be worn by all dogs while running the course, but use your best judgment for your furry friend.
Lastly… HAVE FUN! We are here to enjoy the beautiful Misery Mountain Ski Hill and celebrate the human canine bond all while raising money for the Peace Regional SPCA! Our supporters are the reason we are able to cover the operational costs associated with providing shelter and care for so many lovely animals that find themselves under our roof.
If you’re looking to add another canine to your family, adoptable Peace Regional SPCA dogs will be hanging out at the ski hill Saturday, September 7 to cheer on Miserable Miles runners!
